An electric insect killer, also known as an electric bug zapper or insect trap, is a device designed to attract and eliminate flying insects using electricity. It typically consists of a housing unit that houses an ultraviolet (UV) light source to attract insects, an electric grid or mesh, and a power source. When insects are drawn to the UV light, they come into contact with the electric grid, which delivers a high-voltage electric shock, effectively killing them.
